Four Runners of Klamath Falls

Four Runners of Klamath Falls, Inc. was formed in 1970 as a non-profit organization dedicated to stimulate interest in four wheel drive operation, ownership and enjoyment, to acquaint the public with the pleasures of four wheel driving as a sport and family recreation, to participate in conservation and improvement projects with land management agencies, to promote sound and sportsman-like driving practices on and off the highways and to support the Pacific Northwest Four Wheel Drive Association, Inc.

We have members from all ages and walks of life. We welcome families as well as single four wheelers.

Our club has functions year round. We have meetings once a month and generally have one run per month. Our runs range from easy trail runs, moderate runs to challenging trails.

We enjoy all types of trail runs, rock crawls, sand runs, mud runs and snow runs.

Not only do we enjoy the great outdoors, we also volunteer to keep our public lands clean, beautiful and accessible to all.

Our club also believes in the Tread Lightly philosophy.

We welcome you to join us at a meeting.

ARRA Emails - Wednesday, May 05, 2010

To Learn More About ARRA’s Email Alerts, and why you May Receive Messages to Fill In a Webform, Please Read Below
As you know there is a lot going on in Washington, D.C. related to access to public lands.  We at ARRA will continue to do our best to keep you apprised of key issues that threaten responsible access.  Of course we also hope to be able to inform you of some good news as well. On some issues we will ask you to take action by sending a letter to elected officials.  Most of you are familiar with how our alerts work as you have participated in previous campaigns.  Thanks for your involvement, and please know that your voice is being heard and having an impact.
In most cases ARRA alerts will ask you to contact your Representatives and/or Senators.  These letters have a profound impact as the Member is hearing directly from a constituent who will have an opportunity to help decide his or her future at the ballot box.  Certainly these letters have the most influence on Members; however, they are not the only way to affect the process.
Sometimes ARRA will ask you to send a letter to key committee members who do not directly represent you.  This is important, as Members often have to decide how to vote at the committee level on land use bills that do not affect their own states or districts.  As you know, these bills can have a huge impact in the state or district in question.  This is why we believe that those making the decision should hear from people in the affected areas and why we sometimes ask you to send a letter to a Member from outside of your state or district.
While virtually all Members of Congress will accept emails directly from constituents, some offices have chosen to restrict communication from anyone outside of their state or district.  This is why some of you have received responses either noting that your message has not gone through or asking you to use a webform to contact a particular member.  Please note that we are aware of this.  If you are asked to submit through a webform please copy and paste the text of the letter from the ARRA alert into the webform before sending.
It is always important for you to weigh in by sending the message.  In most cases numerous members of the relevant committee are receiving your letter and only a few are not accepting the email.  Also, ARRA is undertaking an effort to make sure that those offices that do not accept non-constituent email understand why we feel it is important that they hear from you.  Lastly, in some cases ARRA can use the aggregate number of emails sent to affect the process, even if a few of the individual emails are rejected.
Thank you for your continued involvement.
